Having lost her mother a few years ago, Seiko is responsible for most of the house chores, and taking care of her 3 younger siblings at home. (Naomi berating herself over her words to Seiko.) “(I’m an idiot! Even though I knew Seiko’s mother disappeared several years ago…)” Her father often comes home near midnight due to work, leaving her in charge of everything. The exact date of her Shinohara, Sayaka’s, her mother’s, disappearance is unknown. Naomi states that she disappeared several years ago, and the Corpse Party Blood Covered manga shows a distraught middle school Seiko searching for her mother. She lives near Nakashima, Naomi, and the two often go to school with each other. Seiko: “Ye~ah, my bottom’s not been doing too well recently.” Seiko: “Do you have any bum medicine? The topical stuff.” Her bright, carefree personality has made her many friends at Kisaragi Academy. (The infamous “Butter up my pooper” segment properly translated.) Seiko: “Tha~nk you~! Alright then, I’ll just go coat myself up!” Naomi: “If it’s the usual salves, then I’ve got some. Seiko suffers from hemorrhoids quite often. This may be due to the high amount of stress she suffers from taking care of her younger siblings, while also attending school. (Japan Fact! : Hemorrhoids is actually quite common in Japanese culture, with 1 in 3 individuals suffering from some form of it. Due to many not seeking treatment out of shame or embarrassment, they often go untreated, resulting in a escalation of their condition until surgery may be required. To combat this, commercials for hemorrhoids and hemorrhoid related products are quite regular on Japanese TV. This is true for Japanese children as well, where incidences of hemorrhoids have been increasing over the years.) The high incidence of hemorrhoids among the Japanese is put down to a high stress work environment, and long work/school hours. No way the two of us are gonna die! I’ve got a trim booked at the beauty salon first thing in the morning tomorrow. Oh, and we’re going to get our bicycles fixed in the afternoon. Optimistic, merry making, and goofy Seiko is the mood maker of the group. For Naomi, being one of the only survivors in her group of friends, and not to mention killing and watching her her best friend die drove her to insanity.Seiko: “*Exaggerated sob* Take care of yourself, okay? *More exaggerated sobbing* I’ll always be watching over you…” However, most of her attempts of setting the mood often focus on making the situation surreal, or by being ridiculous as can be seen below. (Note: In the Corpse Party game it's revealed that anyone that dies in the elementary school, memories of them are completely wiped out in the real world having them be completely forgotten by their loved ones)Īlso worthy of noting, the ending when Naomi's mom is talking to her doctor about how Naomi keeps talking about "her friend" and how "she" doesn't exist brings us back to the scene of Naomi killing her best friend (Seiko Shinohara) while seemingly possessed. ![]() We all saw the effect all of these memories had with Naomi, after she survived, she basically went insane. He knew he couldn't live on in the real world again with the memory of his tortured little sister dying in his arms after stupidly leaving her behind alone with the girl with the red dress. Satoshi gave Naomi his own charm to bring her back safely but maybe it wasn't such a selfless motive. So the only explanation that makes sense is that Satoshi lied in order to bring Naomi Nakashima back safely while knowingly putting himself in jeopardy. And it was pretty weird that Satoshi gave Naomi his own paper instead of just giving her the extra charm. If you go back and check, his sister didn't even participate in the ritual. Recently finished this and after thinking about it for a while, I think Satoshi lied about the paper being his sister's.
